Alrode, New Redruth and the Meyersdal logistics parks make up one of the busiest manufacturing and distribution belts south of Johannesburg, and the forklift fleets working it aren’t all doing the same job. Older manufacturing floors and newer distribution centres need genuinely different tyres, not the same one sold twice.
At GP Forklift, we supply and fit solid, pneumatic and polyurethane tyres on-site across Alberton, matched to your specific floor rather than a general Alberton average.

Solid tyres are the right call for older Alrode and New Redruth manufacturing floors, where uneven or patched concrete sections put more strain on pneumatics than they’re built to handle.
For loading bay and outdoor yard sections, where surfaces are rougher than the warehouse floor itself, pneumatic tyres offer the shock absorption solids can’t provide.
Newer Meyersdal distribution centres, with smoother floors and higher pallet-movement frequency, generally do better on polyurethane tyres.
